An all-new model for the 2013 model year, the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek and XV Crosstrek Hybrid crossovers gain new technology to keep them up to date, including a new standard infotainment system as well as Subaru’s EyeSight active safety features as available equipment.
A new infotainment system is now standard on 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek 2.0i, 2.0i Premium, and Hybrid models. The new infotainment system features a 6.2-inch touchscreen and rearview camera as well as Subaru STARLINK smartphone integration with Aha Infotainment, Pandora, and iHeart Radio. The 2.0i features a four-speaker audio system, while Premium trims get a six-speaker audio system.
XV Crosstrek 2.0i Premium with EyeSight, 2.0i Limited, and Hybrid Touring models get a new 7.0-inch multi-touch gesture infotainment system with SiriusXM Satellite Radio, voice-activated controls, a pair of USB ports, six-speaker stereo, and a new color LCD screen in the gauge cluster. XV Crosstrek Limited with EyeSight and XV Crosstrek Hybrid Touring are available with a navigation infotainment system with SiriusXM NavTraffic and NavWeather features.
Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology is now available on the 2015 XV Crosstrek. Models equipped with EyeSight also get standard Steering Responsive fog lights.
Non-hybrid models are powered by a 148-hp 2.0-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual or CVT. Hybrid models add a 13.4-hp permanent-magnet AC synchronous electric drive motor integrated into the CVT for 160 hp combined output. A 13.5kW nickel-metal hydride battery supplies juice to the electric motor. All models feature the automaker’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system standard.
Pricing for the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek hasn’t been announced but should be revealed before it arrives at dealers in December.
