Auto show season is right around the corner, which means automakers are busy prepping another round of crazy concept cars. It appears Mercedes-Benz will be one such automaker, as spy photographers caught Benz engineers alongside a wacky, spaceship-looking thing just recently.
Photographers were able to snap photos of the futuristic car partially uncovered, revealing smooth doors that appear to have no handles. Painted in the signature Mercedes silver exterior paint color, the concept car is sleek and long with an overall wedge-shaped body. Given the radical design, an alternative powerplant is likely, possibly hybrid or all-electric. The concept rolls on what appear to be temporary spares with skinny tires, but the bulging wheel arches suggest we'll probably see much larger units when the car is ready to be shown off.
