BlackBerry is considering several strategic steps to determine his future, including the option to sell the company. Now, BlackBerry're actively looking for potential buyers, and the founder, Mike Lazaridis, reportedly also intend to buy.

Lazaridis who has served as CEO of BlackBerry, reportedly approached several private equity firms to bid for BlackBerry. The New York Times reported, Lazaridis specifically reached out to Blackstone Group and Carlyle Group, to formulate the offer.

Lazaridis BlackBerry resigned as CEO in January 2012, and finally actually left the company in March 2013.

However, Lazaridis is still one of the largest individual shareholder in the BlackBerry. This is a favorable position to personally advance Lazaridis BlackBerry bid.

He is one person who is responsible for the deterioration of the BlackBerry in the present. Investors finally urged Lazaridis and co-CEO Jim Balsillie to step down from office, because they are not capable of making a difference.

Lazaridis finally left the position of CEO for the survival of the company he founded in 1984 ago. BlackBerry CEO position at the next occupied by a German national, Thorsten Heins.
